Chen Wei Ting, born in Tainan, Taiwan, graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts with a Master's degree in Global Art Practice. His works incorporate painting, poetry, and installation to explore themes of childhood imagery, mono no aware, and the uncanny, forming his distinctive artistic world. Using acrylic and oil pastels as primary mediums, he integrates poetic text into his visuals, creating a lyrical narrative that portrays the intersection of childhood and adulthood.
In recent years, Chen has held solo exhibitions at Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts (2024, "Paramita") and Tainan Art Museum (2025, "A Shade of Gray"), while also exhibiting in New York, Hong Kong, Spain, Dubai, Thailand, and Japan.
